C-Green
C-Green is a company that specializes in converting wet biowaste into solid hydrochar using their innovative OxyPower HTC™ process. They have a plant located in Heinola, Finland, which is the world's first hydrothermal carbonization facility using this process. The plant has an operating capacity of about 16,000 tons of biomass sludge annually and produces hydrochar that can be used as a carbon sink, biofuel, or soil improvement. C-Green's technology effectively eliminates greenhouse gas emissions from sludge and offers a sustainable solution to the problem of sludge disposal. They also recover nitrogen and phosphorus in the process and offer a more cost-effective and energy-efficient method of sludge handling. Additionally, C-Green's process destroys all viruses, bacteria, and parasites, producing a sterile hydrochar.
