Ekobot is a company that combines front-end technology in the areas of AI, robotics, and electromobility with traditional knowledge of classical agricultural production. Their goal is to offer practical and sustainable solutions to agricultural issues by reducing the cost of manual labor and herbicide use. They have developed an autonomous robotic system for weeding that can increase productivity and profitability while reducing environmental impact. Ekobot's system leaves soil microbiology undisturbed and reduces the need for herbicides, promoting regenerative agriculture and healthy crop yields. They have conducted cultivation trials that demonstrate a 6% yield increase compared to conventional cultivation methods using their robotic system. Ekobot plans to carry out demonstrations of their robot systems in Sweden and the Netherlands in 2023.
